The CIT Water Exchange provides a water market intermediary service principally to Central Irrigation Trust customers.
Starting from 1 July 2025, water market intermediaries will have new obligations under the Water Market Intermediary Code. The general conduct obligations include:
- Deal in good faith.
- Put client interests first.
- Represent the interests of the client diligently and with due care and skill.
- Follow the client’s lawful instructions.
- Not use or disclose any confidential information obtained from a client or prospective client.
- Manage conflicts of interest between the intermediary or their related parties and the client.
